Karnataka is the eight largest state spread in an area of 191,976 Sq. Km with the population of 52,850,562 (Census 2001), situated in southern part of India. Its capital is Banglore. Karnataka is bordered by the Maharashtra to the north, Goa to the northwest, Arabian Sea to the west, Andhra Pradesh to the east, Tamil Nadu to the southeast, and Kerala to the southwest. Kannada is the main language of Karnataka.
